Recently, Harvard conducted a remarkable ten-year study called the Zero Point study, focusing on genius.
This genius capacity is exhibited by individuals who bring forth revolutionary ideas, transformational thinking, social movements, and innovations that elevate our way of living.
What is this capacity?
Researchers defined genius as the variety of modalities through which one absorbs information, synthesizes it, and applies it. We can take in information through numerous channels—auditorily, visually, kinesthetically, intuitively, and more.
Here’s what they discovered:
- 99% of babies operate at a genius capacity during the first eighteen months of life.
- By the age of five, only 22% of us are still operating at this genius level.
- By the age of twenty, a mere 2% of us maintain this genius capacity.
What happens to us?
The research revealed that the decline in our capacities—the distancing from our Genius Self—is due to the learned voice of internal judgment. We begin to doubt ourselves, question our abilities, and seek validation from others.
But here’s the powerful truth: You have genius capacities within you. Today, reconnect with that genius. Trust in your abilities and believe in the power of your dreams.
